Insulin bank has been established and SOP's for its running are developed accordingly. Our local collaborators i.e. Eli lilly, Novo Nordisk, Getz pharma and Highnoon has ensured their support but we are acting cautiously as their supplies are limited and one of our Project's main theme is its sustainability. We have tried to cover maximum of Sindh rural population extending up to the northeast district of Tharparkar. It has been difficult to find diabetes specialists in those far-reaching areas therefore we had to relax our inclusion criteria for being our peripheral coordinator (project related doctor) to have post-graduate degree/diploma. This relaxation was applied for only Tharparkar district.
