Education is a key to safe diabetic healthy. Healthcare professionals play a great role in diabetes education and support. Worldwide, millions of children and adolescents are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.

Our IML team is focusing on diabetes prevention and diabetes self-management through education, process innovation, advocacy, and sustained support with importance on youth.

Insulin is no doubt a lifeline for children with type 1 diabetes, but it cannot be managed only by taking insulin. It is very important that children also learn more about the disorders and their management.
Insulin My Life (IML) is a joint project of Baqai Institute of Diabetology and Endocrinology and World Diabetes Foundation in collaboration with Baqai Medical University to help improve quality of life of young people with type 1 diabetes across different regions of Sindh and Balochistan. IML offers free of cost supply of life saving drugs (Insulins) in addition to glucometers, test strips, syringes and other associated medical supplies. Since Pakistan has become the 3rd country on globe with raised prevalence of diabetes, this rampant spread needs monitoring at national, provisional and district levels to save lives of people thriving for essential life saving drugs.
